Sustainably

Better For The Planet
Our goal is to create not only a mattress that is better for you, but also better for the planet. It's a tall order, and that's why we focus on progress, not perfection. Throughout our supply chain, we've teamed up with partners to source ethical materials and protect working conditions in our factories. Join us.

At Birch, a fundamental part of our mission is to create a green mattress that is as good for our customers as it is for the planet. To achieve this, we sustainably source high quality natural and organic materials and produce our mattress without using polyurethane foams.

Global Organic Textile Standard Certified

The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) stipulates requirements throughout the supply chain for both ecological and labor conditions in textile manufacturing using organically produced raw materials.

Certified Safe & Sustainable Mattresses

When you purchase from Birch, you can rest assured that your sustainable new mattress is free of dangerous flame retardants. In fact, our natural and organic mattress and all of the other bedding products Birch offers have received the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS).

Our manufacturing facilities are GREENGUARD Gold certified to ensure environmentally safe production methods are used. And our mattresses are proven to produce low Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). In high amounts, VOCs can trigger off-gassing which can cause adverse reactions to your health.
