The Birch 100 Night Sleep Trial

That’s why we offer our 100 Night Sleep Trial for nearly every Birch product in addition to a 25-year warranty on all of our mattresses. We're giving you the chance to try your Birch products in your own home and decide whether they're the perfect fit for you.
Why Does Birch Offer a Sleep Trial? How Does it Work?

The 100 Night Sleep Trial is our guarantee that comes with each and every Birch purchase. Instead of just a few minutes touching a product in the store, we're offering 100 nights from the day of delivery so you can enjoy each product in your own home as part of your normal sleep routine.

Take your time trying out each item in your order. Keep an eye on the quality of your sleep and how your body feels each morning. And remember: each Birch product may need just a bit of adjustment to reach its intended firmness or feel.

If, after the first 30 days though, you don't love your products, that's OK. You can return any item for a refund as long as it's still within the 100 day period - in other words, between days 31-100. There is a $99 removal fee for all mattress returns to cover the cost of picking up your mattress.

Please Note: The Adjustable Base comes with a 20 year warranty and our Customer Experience team is happy to help right away if you run into any issues with it, but it is not included in the 100 Night Sleep Trial and therefore can't be returned once it has been removed from its original packaging.

OK, Tell Me More About The Break In Period


Many sleepers find that there is an adjustment period during the first few weeks with a new sleep system, including our Birch mattresses, topper, and bedding products. This is especially true if you’ve been sleeping on an older mattress that your body has had a lot of time to get used to.


After opening and expanding your new Birch Natural Mattress or Birch Luxe Natural Mattress, the internal latex layers may feel just a bit firmer than expected. That’s why we ask all customers to keep their mattress for 30 days to adjust and give that natural latex time to soften to its intended firmness. Our natural mattresses are optimized for essential support and pressure relief — give it some time, because we think you'll love it.


If you think the feel of your Birch mattress or other products maybe isn't quite right, please reach out to our Customer Experience team by emailing info@birchliving.com and they'll be happy to send you an additional latex comfort layer topper, free of charge! Depending on if you'd like a softer or firmer feel, they'll send you the right latex topper to address your needs.


Please note: Our complimentary latex toppers are a separate product from the Plush Organic Mattress Topper sold on our site.

The End of the Sleep Trial

If you're like most Birch customers, you’ll be sleeping so well you won’t even know the 100 Night Sleep Trial is over. But if you find that you’re unhappy with your Birch products for any reason within your 100 night trial period, you can reach out to our team of Sleep Specialists who make the return process simple. They’ll walk you through the process step by step, arrange a pickup for donation or recycling, and issue your refund once the removal is complete.

Please note: there is a $99 removal fee for all mattress returns to cover the cost of picking up your mattress. We do our very best to donate, recycle, or otherwise repurpose all returned mattresses.
 
Wait, What Happens To My Products If I Return?

At Birch, sustainability is core to our mission and we work hard every day to ensure no Birch products or materials ever go to waste. Each and every Birch order is fulfilled by our manufacturer with brand new products and shipped directly to you from our manufacturing facility. For all Birch products, we are focused on utilizing the most natural and organic materials available, ensuring every item is safe for you and for the environment.

If, during the trial period, you decide to return any of your Birch products, though, we will work around your availability to have your products either recycled or donated at no cost to you.

Warranty Replacements: While mattress defects are extremely rare, our manufacturer's warranty protects you against structural defects, should they occur. If your mattress is replaced under the terms of our warranty, the replacement mattress does not include a new 100 night sleep trial. Warranty replacements are not eligible for return or refunds.
