All of our Birch Mattresses are 11” tall. 

Twin: 39" x 75"

Please note that, due to the handmade nature of our product, mattress dimensions can vary by up to 1” on any given side. 

No - the Birch Mattress is not designed to be flipped over. The ordering of the layers is critical to the performance and comfort of the mattress.
Birch mattresses are built to last and don't need to be rotated. However, you are welcome to if you’d like!
The majority of latex allergies are due to direct contact or inhalation of airborne latex particles. All of the latex used in the Birch Mattress is encased. Although skin-to-latex does not occur during normal use, we suggest you consult your allergist prior to purchase if you are uncertain.
Great question! Although a foundation isn’t required, a support system for your mattress is highly recommended. We recommend using a bunkie board with a box spring or any support system with firm, flat and thick slats. No matter which support system you choose, the slats should be no wider than 5 inches apart as that could cause sagging and could potentially void your warranty.
Yes! The Birch Mattress should work with any adjustable base.

The Birch Mattress was designed with a medium-firm feel. If you're looking for something softer, we offer a Plush Pillow Top that lays directly on top of your Birch to provide an extra soft layer.

All Birch products include a warranty that covers any manufacturer defects.

The Birch Mattress comes with a limited 25-year warranty. This warranty protects each customer from any defects in the materials or workmanship of the product that develop from normal and reasonable use. For additional details on our warranty, visit our Warranty page

The Plush Pillow Top includes a 1 year warranty and the Birch Pillow, a 3 year warranty. 
Our approach is to make your mattress buying experience simple, convenient and affordable. We've optimized our designs to give you a great night’s sleep. In the process, we've left out all of the unnecessary items that do nothing but increase prices. In addition, we ship directly from the factory to your doorstep, cutting out the middlemen and the inefficiency. We’re passing those savings along to you.
Sales tax is applied to orders being shipped to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Nebraska, Nevada, New York, New Jersey, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Ohio, South Carolina, Utah, Washington, and Wisconsin. 
Discount or referral codes can be applied retroactively so long as you bring this to our attention within 48 hours after placing your order. Simply send an email to help@birchliving.com that includes your Order Confirmation number and the discount/referral code you'd like to use. Please note, no more than one discount or referral code can be applied at a time.
Yes! It’s super simple. Start by clicking on "Checkout with PayPal" on the cart or checkout page when you’re ready to complete your purchase. This will allow you to input or verify your payment information using PayPal. After you’ve completed these steps you’ll be able to review and complete your order.
Zibby is not offered in Minnesota, New Jersey, Wisconsin, or Wyoming. When trying to check out in any of these states, you will not have the option to use Zibby.
Zibby charges an application fee of $45 for all leases. This fee is non-refundable and must be paid for at the time your order is placed.
No. Zibby checks information without the use of a typical FICO based credit report.
Orders & Shipping
You will receive a shipping confirmation email once an order ships. If you have not yet received a tracking number, or if you believe you should have received a confirmation and haven’t yet, you can check your order status here.
We cannot provide exact shipment details until the package has been shipped. If you have specific delivery needs, we recommend registering for FedEx Delivery Manager, a service that gives you control over your delivery arrival dates. You can reschedule delivery times, set notifications, and change your address. Once you've registered, you can manage the delivery right form the tracking page.
Shipping is free, and we ship to all fifty states! 
From the time you place your order, it takes between 4-8 business days for your Birch Mattress to arrive to your home. Please note that business days do not include weekends or public holidays.
At this time, we are unable to provide shipping to any of these types of address per regulations with FedEx.
Your Birch Mattress is gently compressed, rolled, and put in a box for easy shipping! Packaging dimensions are 42” x 19.5” x 19.5”, and we ship via FedEx Ground direct from the manufacturer to your door.
All of our packages are sent via FedEx Ground without the need for signature confirmation. However, your FedEx driver reserves the right to hold the package until a signature is obtained in the event they are not confident that they can release your package safely.
All Birch products ship separately, and will be delivered within a few days of each other. Once each item ships, you'll receive a Fedex tracking number. 
Returns & Refunds
The 100 Night Sleep Trial is our guarantee that comes along with your Birch  purchase, for all products. If, for any reason, you are unhappy with the mattress, you can return it for a full refund within 100 night trial period, after 30 days.  Since all new mattresses have a break-in period, we require customers to keep the mattress for 30 nights before initiating a return. 
We do our best to donate lightly used products to charities and housing facilities. When we’re unable to do so due to relevant laws or the state of the mattress, we enlist our removal partner to recycle the mattress and its materials responsibly. If you're returning a product, and have a local charity in mind, please let our Customer Experience Team know! 
Once your Birch product has been return or picked up, a full refund will be issued. It usually takes 5-7 business days for the credit to be reflected back onto your original form of payment, or 3-5 days for Paypal, Zibby or Klarna.

Accidental Damage Coverage
We've partnered with Mulberry to offer a 10-year add-on program that allows customers to get protection against the everyday things that can go wrong outside your warranty. The Mulberry offer is available to every customer purchasing a mattress.
Mulberry goes beyond the standard limited and manufacturer warranty by covering almost everything that can go wrong with the mattress in addition to any structural breakdowns.

Accidental stains such as:
● Wine, Pizza sauce, and any other food and beverage stains
● Make-up, Nail Polish, Cosmetics
● Pen, Crayons, Pencils
● Human and Pet bodily fluids

Accidental damages such as:
● Rips, Burns, and Punctures
● Common accidents from children or pets
● Breakage that causes structural breakdown
● Chipping, cracking, and breakage from normal wear and tear
Mulberry covers a wide variety of issues that might go wrong but does not cover the following:
● Claims not initiated prior to the expiration date of the warranty
● Product repairs covered by the manufacturer’s warranty
● Damages that happen to the product outside of the customers’ home
● External causes such as acts of nature like floods, fires, and other natural disasters
● Mold or any damages caused due to mold on any parts of the product
● Any instances of bed bugs
